THE PROJECT Opportunity is an Erasmus+ Sport project, co-funded by the European Union, created with the aim of promoting gender equality and social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through Traditional Sports and Games. To this end, the project is developing an original methodology, which combines online training of educators, an intervention guidelines in different contexts of formal and non-formal education, and an APP tool to assess the positive impact of inclusive pilot actions. THE PARTNERS The project partners have pedagogical and motor science expertise, belong to the academic world, such as universities and national research institutes on Traditional Games and Sports, or associative, such as social promotion and cultural associations and non-profit associations, and come from Croatia, France, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Tunisia. THE ACTIONS One of the key components of European projects and in particular of the Erasmus+ programmes is international mobility: the partners take turns meeting in their respective action areas to organise Transnational Project Meeting and Multiplier Sport Event and to present the Intellectual Outputs. So far, the partners met in Svetvinčenat, Croatia, hosted by HSTIS – Hrvatski Savez Tradicijskih Igara i Sportova, for the International Plijočke Festival, in Lleida, Spain, hosted by the University of Lleida and INEFC – Institut Nacional d’Educació Física de Catalunya and in Coimbra, Portugal, hosted by the University of Coimbra for Jogos da Freguesia da Lousã. TOCATÌ – INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF STREET GAMES Now it is AGA’s turn! On the occasion of the 20th edition of Tocatì – International Festival of Street Games the partners are hosted in Verona for the fourth Transnational Project Meeting where the three Intellectual Outputs realised by the project team will be presented: a methodological manual for the use of Traditional Games and Sports for social inclusion and gender equity, a Massive Open Online Course on the methodology designed, and an interactive tool for assessing the impact of inclusive pilot actions.
