A well-known practice in Southern France, the Bûcheron is inspired by the figure of the “Aizkolaris”, men linked to work in the woods. The game consists of striking a wooden log with an axe in the shortest possible time, with the aim of inserting into the fractures wooden planks that remain in the air, by which the contestant can then reach the top. Both speed and strength are required: a game for real tough guys!
