SAFEGUARDING – GAMES ARE TRANSMISSION

Traditional games are the expression of historical memory, of environmental characteristics and of the territory’s social creativity. Through ludic practices, the values, history and peculiarities of each place are handed down from one generation to the next. This is why traditional games were recognized by UNESCO as tools to keep a community’s memory alive, representing an essential intangible heritage to safeguard, enhance and promote.
