HERITAGE. GAMES ARE CULTURE
Traditional games are heritages of knowledge, abilities and practices of communities, groups
and individuals. Heritage can migrate with men, across borders and frontiers.

This intangible heritage is passed on during these practices, adapting to the ever-changing
contexts. Other cultural expressions travel with games: to play allows to recover and share
oral, artisanal, culinary and musical traditions. This is what it means to say games are a live
heritage that contributes to the sense of identity and continuity of cultural communities, by
favouring their creativity.
