Can history be written in games? In his book “Fuori Gioco” [Offside] Fabrizio Silei tells us how crucial a player and a match can be. The book is dedicated to the Austrian football player Matthias Sindelar, who in 1938, after Austria had been annexed to Germany, first refused to accept the defeat of his team without the match being played and then to give the Nazi salute at the end of the match. Lorenzo Bassotto, who has written a theatrical version of “Fuori Gioco”, will introduce the meeting and the discussion on the daily changes that arise from our choices.
