The review prepared by the Bridge Film Festival is back in the Cortile Mercato Vecchio: two evenings that tell the story of video-making, local associations, local or international communities of players and street cultures, which are increasingly taking hold and taking shape on our continent. With the screening of short cartoon films and collaboration with other European film festivals, the cinema becomes the link between different forms of language, ways of creating community and city life.
PO – BY DIRECTOR ANDREA SEGRE
with Andrea Segre
14 November 1951, the left bank of the river Po splits. In just a few minutes, the tide invades
the lands of Polesine, one of the poorest, most miserable regions of the whole peninsula. Not only
the countryside was invaded, but one by one all the towns.
Tens of thousands of men, women and children were forced to flee, leaving everything they had at the mercy of Po’s muddy waters. This is how the river is called, Po without an article, without any other declension, simply and immensely Po.
