Practised indiscriminately by both men and women, Gouren is a very widespread traditional Breton fight that has come to involve 10,000 new practitioners in the Breton skol (schools). Appreciated for being synonymous with strength, it is associated with the value of fairness between opponents also thanks to the oath made between the wrestlers before challenging each other. This year at the festival they will demonstrate their charge of energy and solidarity.
